Failure was our only kind
Poorest from the richest
From the biggest of minorities
Foreign and forlorn
By my early childhood memory
Born to do construction work
But forced to self-destruct my mind
I tried to grow a sense of pride
When failure was our only kind
Ashamed of where I came from
Even though I never lived abroad
I reproduced the stigma for acceptance
I still felt a fraud
Nothing kills me quite as much
As watching children grow
They‘ll never live to see the day I saw
They‘ll never know
