My body, my temple

Receding gums

And clouded lungs

Crooked back, the way I sit

Acne still at 26

My knee feels weird

The way I run

The stomach

Or the lung and gum

The cancer I‘ve been choosing from

The liver works

The body won‘t

My carcass pays what karma don‘t

My left hand skin

is shrivelling

Right along my finger ring

The teeth I swing are dying out

I‘ll lose the voice that cries and shouts

My body changes constantly

For better or for worse

But the worst is only yet to come

The best has run its course
