I always go for seconds
I wish away the many poor
And pray for them at night
In my words I say the kindest things
Avoiding any fights
But positions which I occupy
I never pay no mind
To the privilege I always had
The struggle I can’t find
what fuels the daily crimes abroad
And brings me treats I eat for lunch
is all-too harsh for me to face
I always go for seconds
Your children are hungry, just look at their food
My kids need more gas station sushi
but they don’t like the tuna
and they throw away the ginger
because no one really likes it
It‘s just there to make it pretty
and the many microplastics
come from fish to balls to brains
