Every choice has a budget
Everybody has a choice
But every choice has a budget
You’re broke because you had to be
You never stood a chance
I‘m falling down the line, I fear
of downward-bound mobility
It‘s written on the wall, in tears
And carved on the horizon
In the grand parks of others
In deaf battles, losing, hopelessly
I strive to make it up the ranks
they’ll always push me down
The drool of all my derelict rants
like bloody coughs
in autumn years
won’t be enough
to make me last
until I pay my bills
